Dan joined big xyt in June 2023, and brings 20 years experience spanning sales, trading and research to the business development team.

His career began at Barclays in an advisory role placing him between the unique needs of clients and the research department.  His focus over time saw a transition into proprietary trading and quant research where he specialised in the study of stochastic dynamics for market pricing, conducting research in the fields of maths, economics, science and social sciences.

This research led him to Birkbeck University where he studied derivative valuation and hedging across asset classes, and concluded with an in-depth study into the lag effects on price and time within market cycles that revealed an abstract symmetry resulting from time-distortion.
